Artist Reception - Rare Glimpse: An Arts DuPage Juried Group Exhibition

The Rare Glimpse exhibition celebrates the first-ever collaboration between North Central College’s Oesterle Library and Arts DuPage, a DuPage Foundation initiative. It features the work of DuPage County artists supported by the countywide arts council and illustrates the abundance of talent within our community.

The exhibit showcases 2D and 3D pieces created by 20 artists selected by a jury based on originality, interpretation of the theme, and demonstration of artistic ability. Medium categories, including acrylic, oil, collage, sculpture, and photography, are represented, and styles span from whimsical to sublime.

The inclusion of artist statements will give the viewer a rare glimpse into the mind of the artists whose thoughts range from life and love to climate change and natural disasters. Topics like gender roles, aging and memories emerged, as did the industrious life of modern-day bunnies.

Please join us as we pull the curtain back on intimate and rarely-seen moments in life as interpreted by this extraordinary group of artists.

The exhibition runs from March 27 through May 5
