Artist Reception Nikkole Huss

Join the artist, Nikkole Huss at her artists reception 6:00-8:00 p.m. where she will lecture on her exhibit “Mapping Earth.” In the exhibit “Mapping Earth, Nikkole Huss’ encaustic paintings investigate if it is possible to encounter the essence of the locations only experienced on a screen.  As a part of this mission, she digitally traveled to various National Natural Landmarks across the United States using Google Earth. These sites contain outstanding biological and geological resources that should be preserved as part of America’s natural heritage for future generations . Huss’ landscapes, while inspired by authentic locations, explore an imaginative interpretation of their natural beauty.
