Audition with Spirito!: Inspiring Young Women who Love to Sing

Spirito! Singers, a leading youth choral organization located in the Western Suburbs of Chicago, is currently accepting auditions for the 2019-20 season for the Ragazze and Bravura ensembles. The Ragazze Ensemble includes girls between 5th - 8th grade, and the Bravura Ensemble features young women in the 9th - 12th grade. Members are admitted at the beginning of the season, so this is the only time of year singers can join this premier music ensemble.

Drawing singers from over thirty Western Suburbs, Spirito! sings musically rich and challenging choral repertoire from a variety of genres.  In addition, its Ragazze Ensemble incorporates curriculum based music theory instruction as a part of its weekly rehearsals.  All ensembles rehearse once weekly with a schedule that mirrors the school year. Spirito! also makes service a priority, providing members and their families with a number of opportunities to give back to the local community.

The Spirito! experience is about so much more than learning notes.

“Our goal is to not only allow our girls to experience exceptional repertoire, but to grow as musicians and as caring members of our community,” says Artistic Director Molly Lindberg. “We create an opportunity for our members to perform music they love, while inspiring them to be confident and compassionate.  We also give the chance to establish friendships with other young women in the area who love music.”

Spirito! auditions are held in a non-intimidating, relaxed setting. They take place in Elmhurst, Oak Brook, Downers Grove and La Grange. Spirito! does not require preparation of an audition piece.
