Set in turn-of-the century New York City, Newsies is the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a band of teenaged "newsies." Based on the 1992 motion picture and inspired by a true story, Newsies features a Tony Award-winning score by Alan Menken (Little Shop of Horrors, Sister Act) and Jack Feldman and a book by Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein (Kinky Boots). Featuring the now classic songs “Carrying the Banner,” “Seize the Day,” and “Santa Fe,” Newsies is packed with non-stop thrills and a timeless message, perfect for the whole family and every audience

Dance Attire: Be prepared to learn and perform a short dance routine (unless you are auditioning for a role that does not dance)
Rehearsal Information:
Rehearsals will be held Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturdays. Not everyone will be required to attend every rehearsal.
A schedule conflict form will be provided. No missed rehearsals are allowed after July 5th.
Things to Bring:
Sheet Music: Be prepared to sing up to 32 seconds, but no more than one minute of a fully memorized song from Newsies. An accompanist will be provided.
Dance Attire: Be prepared to learn and perform a short dance routine (unless you are auditioning for a role that does not dance)
