Owners of a new mixed use experiential retail site in downtown Glen Ellyn are looking for area artists to exhibit and sell their work.
Description: The Enclave, scheduled to open on December 1, is a membership only, co-working & BYOB social space designed to look and feel like a classic lounge. Members will be able to work during the day and share a drink with friends in the evening. There are no televisions on the premises. Instead, everyone is invited to enjoy conversation, read a book, or catch up with friends and neighbors – the way entertainment used to be, before the days of Netflix. As an added bonus, furnishings on display are for sale, giving members the first opportunity to experience the merchandise before taking it home.
Aesthetic: Blue velvet couches line the room, accented by gray suede chairs. The space features large walls (20 – 40 ft in length) painted in beige with an accent wall in charcoal. A storefront window area is also available for public display. Click here for a schematic rendering (please note: colors in the diagram are not an accurate depiction of the final project).
Details: If you are a local artist interested in helping us to complete our vision, we’d love to hear from you. Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with two or three images of your work and a link to your website, if you have one. The entries will be juried and you will be notified of your status. Up to 14 pieces can be displayed at one time.
Art can be displayed on a rotating or more permanent basis.
