The Juried College Art Competition is open to all college students. Entry deadline is January 31. The juror selects entries which then are displayed in the gallery during the Annual Conference. Winners are announced at the conference during the Friday evening Gallery Reception. A minimum of $800 in prizes is awarded.
SPONSOR: The College Art Show is made possible through a donation by Millikin University.
ELIGIBILITY: Open to emerging artists currently enrolled in college. There is no fee to enter. However, entrants whose pieces are selected must also be registered for the 18th Annual SEA Conference in order to display their work in the show and compete for prizes.
MEDIA: Drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, and photography

GALLERY DETAILS: Selected pieces will be chosen by a juror prior to the conference. Notification of acceptance will be sent to the email address provided on this form no later than midnight on February 11th, 2018. If your piece is selected, please make sure your work is gallery ready. A limited number of easels will be provided but we suggest you bring your own if you have one. Tables will also be provided for those needing a table top display.
What else is involved? There is a gallery reception Friday evening (February 23rd) at 9 PM. Awards will be announced at this time. We hope that all who participate will join us in the Gallery for the reception.
AWARDS: A minimum of $800 in prizes will be awarded. There will be 1 Best of Show award of $300, 1 People’s Choice Award of $100, and 4 Juror’s Awards of $100 each. (Please note that if additional sponsorship is acquired, the amount and number of prizes may be increased but will not be decreased)
All winners will be required to fill out a W-9 so that their prize can be awarded. All prizes will be in the form of a check from North Central College which will be mailed to the address provided on your W-9 unless otherwise specified. W-9s may be obtained from the conference registration table during the event or from the IRS website (www.irs.gov). W-9s may then be returned to the registration table or mailed to SEA’s office (SEA Box 365 / C/0 North Central College / 30 N. Brainard St. / Naperville, IL 60540) Please allow at least two weeks for processing.
