YOUR GUIDE TO ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT IN DUPAGE COUNTY

There are no recent bookmarks.

Tami Kidd-Brown’s interest and love for art began during her art classes in high school with one of her instructors being of profound influence to her. She genuinely believes that a portion of her talent has been inherited as she comes from a lengthy line of artists on her maternal side of her family.

Kidd-Browns eclectic style includes colorful macro images of nature, realistic portraits and illustrations drawn or painted with intricate detail, stylized photography, sculpture, collage, and assemblage.

Kidd-Brown studied Art and Outdoor Education for two years at the College of DuPage and is currently finishing her B.A. in Studio Art at North Central College. She became the first Featured Artist in the July 8, 2020, issue of Glancer Magazine and was recently in a featured article in the Chicago Tribune by freelance columnist Hilary Decent. Her work shown in several local exhibits and juried shows including the Meiley-Swallow Gallery, the Schoenherr Gallery and the Jane Carson Gallery, has been a featured artist in a number of charity auctions, and was one of the Co-Producers of Rouse 18 – Art/Fashion/Music Exhibit in the Wentz Fine Art Center.

Kidd-Brown has always had a passion for philanthropy and donates a portion of all proceeds to both local and international charities. She most recently acquired an interest in using recycled and repurposed objects and materials in her artwork in effort to prevent them from entering the already overflowing landfills.
