Savas Arazbey

Savas Arazbey is a mosaic artist from Turkey, “the cradle of civilization” where mosaic art is country. Since his youth in Ionia, the ancient region of coastal Anatolia, glass art inspired his outlook. While practicing as a pharmacist  for 40 years, Arazbey examined mosaic patterns, read the poetry of Rumi, and worked to give life to glass, thus aiding the revival of an antique art form that originally blossomed in Zeugma and Antioch.

In 1997, Arazbey settled in Naperville and started creating his own artwork with the intent of sharing his expertise and broadening the mosaic community in a new region.
