Marilyn Peretti

After learning and exhibiting botanical art for 26 years, I have now turned back to portraits. I am interested in the face, oversized, to emphasize the individual characteristics, but also to feature these good people who have contributed to our society and world. The earlier nature art was inspired and shown at the Morton Arboretum with the Nature Artists Guild. Those paintings were also exhibited in Wisconsin, Santa Fe, and other local venues such as DuPage Art League, Danada Fall Festival, Bloomindale Museum, Northern Illinois University, and others. I am also a poet, active with several poetry groups in Chicago’s western suburbs for many years. I have published several poetry books, some with my own ink drawings to illustrate.
