Wallace’s life involves all forms of art. He completed the double degree program with a B.A. in Studio Art and B.M. in Euphonium Performance from Lawrence University after five years of intense study. His painting medium of distinction is watercolor, but also freelances as a DJ, graphic designer, illustrator, and painting teacher. For his super senior project, he was awarded the Mellon Senior Experience Grant to fund his work for the Senior Exhibition 2011. His work series titled, “The Gilded Gaze: Gold Leaf and the Element of Seduction” earned him the merit-based “Senior Art Prize for Men” scholarship. He continued exploring watercolor and themes of sexual dynamics into graduate school at San Francisco Art Institute. He was admitted to the class of 2018 on Fellowship Scholarship. After graduating in May, his intention is to promote the inclusion and legitimacy of watercolor painting into the contemporary art scene by exhibiting and instructing higher education.
