Cherylyn Gnadt

On a constant quest to balance her roles as an artist, marketing professional and Mom, Cherylyn carves out creative time – sometimes literally. As a lifelong artist and learner, ideas are inspired by parallels and patterns experienced in everyday life. Her artistic passions include relief block carving and printmaking; mixed media; wearable art jewelry; and assemblage. Her work is primarily figurative, incorporating nature – revealing surrealistic themes of domesticity, adaptability, isolation and perseverance. Besides creating, Cherlyn is passionate about working within the community and advocating for the arts.

A traditional art education from the American Academy of Art (1992) and 20 + years of graphic design create her art foundation. But more recently, she has earned her Bachelors Degree in Communications with a minor in Fine Art from Elmhurst College (2017).
