Mooneen has created art in all forms while a child and formalized her art education with a double art and education major from Kent State University and a Masters of Applied Social Sciences from Case Western Reserve University, Mandel School Cleveland, Ohio.
Mooneen currently works in a variety of media and forms. She has received awards and recognition for her art in painting, photography, ceramics, and jewelry. Mooneen works in figurative and abstract as well as functional and decorative ware. She is known for her sense of beauty, design, color, textures, and originality. She often incorporates hidden meaning in her work that evokes an emotional response from the viewers.
Recently relocated from Santa Barbara, California, Mooneen was a docent at a local museum. She enjoys membership in local art groups and is becoming immersed in mid-western values. Mooneen's mission, vision, and philosophical view are demonstrated through her artistic projects, in her volunteer commitments, and in her personal and professional life. Her work is currently on disply at "Off the Wheel Potter," an art gallery in Door County.
