Professional and student actors from Wheaton College Arena Theater present a new Shakespeare production each year with full sounds, lighting, and costumes.
Everyone knows a few lines of Shakespeare; everyone’s seen a play or two. Come out on these summer days and experience another of the world’s greatest playwright’s works in one of Wheaton’s greatest parks.
This year's performance will be Much Ado About nothing, a comedy that is considered one of Shakespeare’s best because it combines elements of mistaken identities, love, and robust hilarity with more serious meditations on honor, shame, and court politics.
Shakespeare in the Park is a high-quality annual theater event presented free of charge to the public by the Wheaton Park District and Wheaton College’s Arena Theater.
Onsite concessions will be available, with the proceeds benefiting the DuPage County Historical Museum. In the event of inclement weather, a rain date is scheduled for Sunday, August 27th.
