YOUR GUIDE TO ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT IN DUPAGE COUNTY

The New Horizons DuPage organization is the DuPage County & Chicago West Suburban chapter of the New Horizons International Music Association. The first New Horizons Band program was formed by Dr. Roy Ernst at the Eastman School of Music, in Rochester, New York. It was designed to provide an entry into music-making at any age, but especially the senior population, age 50 and older. Many hundreds of NHB chapters have started since that time, in the United States and internationally.  New Horizons DuPage performs a Winter and Spring concert each season, as well as “run-out” concerts at various assemblies, festivals, schools, senior residence communities and parades.  New Horizons DuPage has performed for the Illinois Music Educators State conference, DePaul University, Community Music Day, Make Music Chicago, Western Suburban Irish Parade, Friends of the Fourth Warrenville Parade, Misericordia Heart of Mercy, Relay for Life, and 9/11 Day of Remembrance.
