Lithuanian Egg Dyeing

Margucial is the traditional way to decorate Easter eggs in Lithuania. Using a candle, pin, wax and dyes, students will learn to make beautifully intricate designs on eggs. Each student must bring six hard boiled eggs. This workshop will be taught by Vytas Miknaitis.

Growing up in the Chicago's Lithuanian-American community has lent a strong appreciation for creative expression in woodcarvings and decorated eggs common in Central Europe.
