Floating Collage 3-Day Workshop

Dimensional work with collage papers 

Students will work with variety of found and new papers creating a fresh palette. Altering the surfaces using gesso, acrylics and stamping materials we will explore ways to loosen up. The sense of design will be threaded throughout the class session creating harmony with in the layers.  Small exercises will assist and prepare students to assemble their collages to the substrate of watercolor paper preparing to mount and frame.  Emphases will be focused on the outside edges of the papers, being careful not cut them but to leave them raw.  The final touch brought to the surface might include embellishments or drawing materials creating unique conversation with all the elements involved. Finished work will be presented in a shadow box frame you created in the workshop from a wood panel.

Workshop Starts each day at 9:00 till 4:00
Half hour lunch break, bring brown bag lunch with drink.
Snack will be provided in the Kitchen area
