Collage and Spirit Animals

Guided by Jamie Sam's book, Medicine Cards, we will engage in open discussion and explore the diverse artistic spirit of the animals around us. Using the discovery of power through the ways of animals as inspiration, ideas will be expressed through collage and mixed media.  Focus will be placed on composition and principles of design as we make collage papers, incorporate stencils and learn how to work with the tack iron. Students will be encouraged to build upon their experience each week.
