Cherith Lundin’s drawings and paintings are inspired by a deep interest in the poetics of space, the metaphoric potential of the window, and the fleeting and temporal nature of light and color.
Through repetition and attentiveness to that which seems familiar, her work subtly shifts its focus from that which is viewed to the activity and experience of viewing. Her luminous and careful observations serve as a conceptual investigation of the nature of perception, the passage of time, and the effect of point of view. Cherith Lundin is Assistant Professor of Art at Wheaton College, where she teaches painting, drawing, and printmaking. Born in Minneapolis, she grew up in Germany. ... view more » ADMISSION INFOFree Admission Website: https://www.wheaton.edu LOCATION
