Cynthia Boudreau

Fabric, yarn and all manner of textile has always been a part of my artistic life. From making doll clothes as a child and then my own clothes followed by studying with a master weaver to create my own fabics, the range is always growing.  At this time, my fiber work is largely felting, nuno felting, and shibori silk dyeing.  I am often inspired by nature or travel and create one of a kind art wear within themed structures. Felted vessels, including teapots, and felted silk and wool highly textured wall art often reflect natural elements. Recent awards include Best in Fiber 2016 Art in the Barn Show, Best body of work 2016 Uncommon Threads Artwear Runway Experience, Solo Show DuPage Art League October 2017.
